Adrienne LaVallee

Adrienne Kernan LaVallee was born and raised in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts.  She earned a BFA from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth and her MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art.

 

LaVallee has been painting professionally for more than thirty years.  Her work has been exhibited throughout New England. Her art can be found in private collections here and abroad including Canada, Mexico, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom and Holland.  She has received numerous honors and awards including a Monhegan Artist Residency,  two New Hampshire State Arts Council fellowships and an artist residency in Wilson, Wyoming.  

 

LaVallee’s landscape paintings come to life with her use of color and aggressive brush and palette knife work.  She is inspired by the New England Landscape and the sounds and sights found in nature.
