Color and mark-making as a language of expression is essential to my work. I’m fascinated by what emerges from the physical process of painting itself. Dashes of paint and gestural strokes tell a story— orchestrated by movement, intuition, and the shifting of time.

My approach to abstraction is informed by my background in representational painting. I remain fascinated by light and atmosphere to convey an illusion of space. I employ the use gesture to express the almost human-like qualities that I see visible in nature.
